A Generative Artist develops images, moving images or other production material using generative tools in response to a brief and creative direction. The role includes interpretation, selection, revision and preparing work for the next production stage.
What it means in production
The artist needs to understand the scene, its visual references and the elements that must remain consistent. Producing a clip is only part of the task. The material must also work in the edit, respond to notes and follow the production’s approval and delivery arrangements.
A useful question
Ask which decision or deliverable the term describes in your project, who is responsible for it and what record you will receive.
