BAI-LEY AI Academy: the historical announcement

A preserved record of the Academy announcement, with current availability kept separate from the original programme proposal.

BAI-LEY announced its AI Academy in April 2026 as a route into professional generative production. This page preserves the announcement’s place in the archive. It is not a current course listing or an offer of employment.

What the announcement proposed

The original announcement described a two-week production bootcamp and a proposed paid production residency for selected participants. Those historical terms should not be read as a statement that an intake, place or residency is currently available.

Anyone considering training needs current information about dates, selection, fees or payment, location, supervision and the relationship between training and any subsequent work. Those details should be confirmed directly before making a commitment.

What production training needs to teach

Generating a striking image is one skill within a larger practice. Professional training also needs to address interpretation of a brief, shot construction, continuity, review, editorial handover and the permissions attached to production material.

Artists need to understand what makes a shot useful in a scene. They should learn how to work with approved references, respond to consolidated notes and recognise when a result does not satisfy the action or emotional requirement.

A production environment also depends on communication. The next person must be able to identify the right version, understand its status and know which issues remain open.

Learning from a sequence

A sequence provides a better test of those skills than unrelated individual clips. It reveals whether characters and locations remain consistent, whether the coverage gives editorial choices and whether the work can be refined after review.

Training material should be cleared for the proposed use. A learning environment is still responsible for its sources, contributors and any public presentation of the resulting work.
