What is production governance?

Production governance is the arrangement of responsibilities, permissions, review stages and escalation that lets a production make accountable decisions. It establishes who can do what and how exceptions are handled.

What it means in production

In AI production, governance includes decisions about source material, performer use, access, creative approval and final delivery. It should be practical enough for artists and producers to follow. A policy document that is disconnected from daily work provides little assurance. A useful process makes open questions visible, assigns someone to resolve them and keeps the decision connected to the version affected.

A useful question

Ask which decision or deliverable the term describes in your project, who is responsible for it and what record you will receive.
